The BASE 5.0-EB is a high-capacity, user-friendly Smart Extra Battery designed to enhance your system's energy storage capabilities. It supports significant solar and hybrid renewable inputs, enabling you to charge your devices and deliver clean, efficient power. Ideal for off-grid living and home backup, the BASE 5.0-EB features an expandable capacity that allows you to connect up to 15 units for substantial energy storage.
This portable battery utilizes a high-quality, automotive-grade lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, capable of 3,500 cycles before its capacity reduces to 80%. With an initial capacity of 5,048Wh—expandable up to an impressive 80,640Wh when linked to the BASE 5.0—the system provides a considerable energy reserve for long periods of uninterrupted power. The BASE 5.0-EB is designed with safety in mind, offering protection against overheating and low charge to prevent deep discharge and extend battery life.
The BASE 5.0-EB features two link ports for connecting an Extra Battery and a BASE 5.0 host unit, enabling power sharing during charge and discharge once the linked units are balanced.
Note that the BASE 5.0-EB will only charge when connected to a BASE 5.0 host unit. It takes approximately 3.5 hours to fully charge from 0% to 100% when connected to the host unit, whether plugged into mains power or using maximum solar input. The host unit feeds the charge to the BASE 5.0-EB via the link cable, regardless of the charging method.
